EZ DOCK

THE CHALLENGE
EZ Dock makes a great product, but needed a visual update and a brand refresh emotional appeal. Their traditional product sheets were sales-oriented materials that were all about features and product specs. They were good informative pieces but lacked emotional draw. The company’s wide range of products also needed to be pulled together under one unified easily identifiable brand visual identity and voice.

OUR SOLUTION
We took products and features and turned them into an aspirational lifestyle brand. Starting with the EZ Kayak Launch, we added visual appeal to the sales and marketing message tapping into the customer’s rational needs, but also their emotional connection to the sport and the outdoors. The EZ Dock materials challenge the customer to get out on the water and extend their kayak experience. Lines such as “Nature Is Waiting” and “How Fun Gets on the Water” accomplished this through web, digital, video and print. In the end, the company’s line of floating docks, PWC ports, kayak launches, and boat ports were cohesively brought together under the company founder’s desire to spend more time on the water.

EZ Dock has had double-digit growth since our rebranding efforts in 2016.

        John and his team at Gate were part of the team that helped EZ Dock move from a floating dock company to become a premier provider of waterfront solutions driven organization. In order to make the change we had to completely overhaul the look and feel of the brand. We would not have gotten there without Gate.
